Aurora Catherine Maldino, 95, passed away November 11, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Aurora was born in Thurber, Texas to Angelo and Amalia Marchioni. After moving to Fort Worth in 1930, she graduated from Diamond Hill High School. She earned a Beautician's License from Trimble Tech and worked at the Cinderella Beauty Shop on 25th Street in Fort Worth for 16 years. In later years, her work included All Saints Catholic School and Church as a bookkeeper. She served in various volunteer capacities throughout her life and was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed her time with the Ladies Circle, SPJST, Thurber Historical Association, and AARP organizations. Aurora found great satisfaction in solving daily crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend to many. Aurora is preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Amalia; her husband, Milton; three brothers Ellis, Claude and Melio; and three sisters Mary Lombardi, Fortunata Meislohn, and Helen Thompson. Aurora is survived by her son Mark and wife Angela; Joe, John and wife Kim; daughter Susan Mocio; six grandchildren Nidya Hyder, Ariel Chavez, Nicolas, Andrew, and Sara Mocio and Mallory Maldino; 2 great grandchildren Anasey and Aiden Chavez; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Fort Worth Center for Rehabilitation for their care and support.
