Ava Dee Williams Wright, 82, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at her home in White Settlement surrounded by her family. Service: 11:00 AM Monday at Calvario Funeral Chapel, 111 W. Northside Dr. Fort Worth, Texas 76106. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Dee was born in Anson, Texas on May 10, 1934 to the late Willie D. Williams and Ava Gladys (Walker) Williams. She married William Robert Wright on February 8, 1955. She graduated from Tech and continued her education for 2 years at TCU, 2 1/2 years at TCC in Phycology, and 3 years at Christian Bible Study. She retired after 20 years with Motorola. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and cousin and friend to many. She was witty, kind, and full of grace. She got to travel with friends to Israel, Morocco, and Jerusalem and walked where Jesus walked. She loved to play speed rummy and bingo with family and friends. She was known as the bread lady for years. She would pick up and deliver cakes, pies, breads, and cookies to senior citizens, fire departments, and to those less fortunate. She was truly a blessing to so many. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Janice Antencio, son, Robert D. Wright and wife Laurie; daughters, Starla Weaver and husband Wayne, Gina Ashby and husband Toby, Willie Gruber and husband Deryl, and Jonnie Touchette; Eighteen grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of very special friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Richard Williams; and son-in-law, Rodger Touchette. May she forever rest in peace in God's loving embrace.
