FORT WORTH -- Evelyn E. Wickman, 94, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 3, 2014, with her family by her side. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to service. Evelyn was born in Hico Jan. 5, 1920, to Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Koonsman. She became a Christian at an early age and was baptized at the Baptist church at Iredell. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Fort Worth for over 40 years. Evelyn enjoyed working with people. She was very active in the Joy Class at her church. She also worked with the Carter-Riverside Neighbors' Association doing the advertisements. Evelyn was retired from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. Her joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She and her husband, E.O. Wickman, were married over 64 years when he passed away in 2006. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, E.O. Wickman; her daughter, Beverly Kay Winget; her parents; two brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: Sons, Don Wickman of Fort Worth and Mike Wickman and wife, Lynn, of Weatherford; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren.
