Mrs Jackie Lynn Horton

Jackie Lynn Horton, 53, a loving wife, mom and me-maw went home to heaven on January 4th 2014, in Mansfield. Celebration of Life Services: 4:00 pm Wednesday January 8th at Calvario Funeral Home, 111 W. Northside Drive in Fort Worth. The family will host a dinner immediately following the services, please inquire with a family member for details. Jackie was born December 14th 1960, in Wichita Falls. She graduated from Arlington High School and married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Kevin in 1978. Jackie graduated from nursing school at TCC in Fort Worth while raising her young family. She went on to care for countless others as a Registered Nurse with hospitals and as a Director of Nurses at several local nursing homes. Jackie’s path as an RN is a direct reflection of her love of others and her caring nature. Jackie was a caretaker as a profession and devotedly as a wife and mother. She faced many obstacles in life; never giving up and finding strength from those she loved. Jackie had a spark for life and urged those she loved to have the same. She carried an unwavering love for her family and friends. Jackiewill always be remembered for her love of life, her loving spirit, hercaring nature and as a hero to her children. Jackie leaves behind a legacy of love and will forever live on in the hearts of the many she touched. We know Jackie and Kevin are at peace together in heaven. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Kevin, her father Bernie Grizzle, and her mother and father in law Jimmie and Pauline Horton. Survivors: She is survived by her mother Frances Grizzle; daughter Sherry Harger and husband DeWayne; son, Daniel Horton and wife Nicole; her four precious grandchildren: Jonathan, Kendall, Logan and Landon; hersiblings: brother James Dean Grizzle and wife Michelle, sister Tonya Coulon, sister Cathy Gribble, sister Bobbie Green and husband Chuck; many loving nieces, nephews and countless friends.
