Rafael Artiles, age 75, of Fort Worth, went to be with Lord on January 5th, 2022. He was born in Cuba. In 1958, everything changed once the communist regime took over and converted his beloved home. Rafael, being the fearless, brave, and courageous man that he was, worked with his closest friends to plan their escape. On July 22nd 1974, Rafael and his 3 friends, escaped Cuba in a man made raft to pursue the "American dream." Rafael proudly dedicated his life to Jesus in 1980, and became one of the greatest men of God. Throughout the years, Rafael became many things to many people: a husband, father, grandfather, Pastor, Machinist and Superhero, having endured a radioactive spider bite that led to years of crime fighting, and a 4 year battle with a nefarious criminal named Cancer. He passes on to his children: Danae Quintero, Nadia Artiles, Priscilla Pruitt, Cynthia Martinez, and David Artiles and his 13 grandchildren (plus two on the way) the duty to grow up to avenge Rafael's untimely death against the notorious Cancer. Rafael's close friends and family will be celebrating his life and legacy of Jesus on Saturday, January 15th, at the Calvario Funeral Home in Fort Worth from 1PM - 5PM.
