Robert McCutchen

Robert Dale McCutchen passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022 with his loved ones by his side. He was born on February 10, 1939 in Kansas City Missouri to Felsi Cleo Dawson and Dale Dorman McCutchen. His parents moved to Dallas and where he grew up. His childhood friends remember him as a very loyal friend who always stood up for the right thing and was first to defend or protect others when they were in trouble. Robert Joined the United States Navy right out of high school and spent 3 years serving this great nation. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked for JEEP before starting a career in the oil and gas business in Louisiana. He was led to Indonesia to work for OTIS Engineering and became a country manager. He was promoted to manager and oversaw operations in Europe and Africa. He received a transfer to London and was eventually transferred back to Indonesia and lived there until 2002. During his time in Indonesia, he served as a Dean for the Business School at the Indonesian-European University, and worked with some local oil and gas companies, including as a Worldwide Operations Director at a customs company called Surveyor Indonesia. His last assignment was as President Director at a local Geothermal Company. Robert’s favorite activities include fishing, golfing, reading good books, and eating. He was always hunting for new restaurants. Whenever a new restaurant opened in town, he made sure to visit to sample new cuisine. This brought much joy to his life. He was well liked by others, and was a kind hearted man who always sincerely helped everyone in need. During his first marriage to Mary Jane Henderson-Smith, the couple welcomed three children; John Dale Mccutchen and wife Alejandra Jordan, Robert Otis Mccutchen and Jennifer Lee Mccutchen and husband Eddie Pribadi. He found love again with Debbie Margaretha who had three children; Indah Nurwulan and husband Michael Brave Ticoalu, Indra, and Irfan Diansyah and wife Irani Taslima. The family blended and have shared many happy years together. Robert has thirteen grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Jonathan Dakota McCutchen, Tiffany Jane McCutchen, Robert Hendrik McCutchen, Sarah Anne McCutchen, Michael Joseph McCutchen, Jake Adam McCutchen, Jill Amanda McCutchen, Ashley Jane McCutchen, Michelle Shana Pribadi, Amanda Pramuni Pribadi, Radjasa Diansyah, Reidinand Diansyah, and Renee Sophia Diansyah To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Robert McCutchen please visit our Sympathy Store.
