Roger Ray Wilson, 72, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2015. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Williams & Lucas Funeral Home, 517 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth. Private burial: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Haddock, Brandon Pierpoint, Erik Walton, Marvin Gossett, David Wills and Doug Miller. Roger Ray Wilson was born April 30, 1943, in Fort Worth to Johnny and Ethelda Wilson. He spent his formative years in Fort Worth with a few years living with his brother, Tommy Bradshaw, in Colorado and in Washington. Later he worked with his brother at Bradshaw and Associates in Alexandria, Va., before returning to Fort Worth. Roger became a recruiter for a large trucking company. He found his calling working with this company. He worked for the company until he retired in 2003. The joys of Roger's life were the times spent with his wife, Gail, FaceTime and videos received from their grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a family man, a Christian man, a loving man, a funny and entertaining man and a truly good man. The void he leaves in the lives of the family is beyond belief. Very special thanks to his hospice nurse, Katie Nunneley. She was the bright spot each time she pulled in the driveway. His face would light up. Survivors: His loving wife of 31 years, Gail; children, Sheri and Carl Haddock, Teri and Mike Bearden, Ethelda Kernan, John and Leanna Wilson; grandchildren, Stacy and Erik Walton, Ashley and Brandon Pierpoint, Andrew and Miranda Haddock, Thomas Kernan, Katie Kernan, Grace Kernan and Patrick Kernan; great-grandchildren, Brady and Callen Walton, Addalee Haddock and Payton Pierpoint; and a host of friends and family.
