Mr. William Howard Spencer

FORT WORTH -- William Howard Spencer, 91, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. Celebration of life: The special service to celebrate Bill's wonderful life will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Las Vegas Trail Church of Christ, 1900 S. Las Vegas Trail, White Settlement. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Calvario Funeral Chapel (formerly Shannon North). Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Bill's memory to Las Vegas Trail Church of Christ. Bill was born June 6, 1923, in Cambridge, New Brunswick, Canada, to JEB and Etta Spencer. Bill was a veteran of World War II. He worked more than 30 years with the FAA as an electronic technician and was an active member of Las Vegas Trail Church of Christ. He was deeply loved by his family and many friends and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mickey; and two sisters, Virginia and Dolores. Survivors: Wife of 68 years, Evelyn Hairston Spencer; son, Mike Spencer and wife, Betty; daughter, Cynthia Brooks and husband, Mark; granddaughters, Mickie Spencer, Mindie Spencer, Lyndsay Brooks and Hallie Brooks; great-grandson, Noah Griffin Brooks; and numerous other family members and dear friends.
